Canadian Wheat Board Dissolves
2012 – August
Following a change in government policy, the single-desk marketing model of the Canadian Wheat Board was discontinued on August 1, 2012
An Idea is Born
2013 – February
With producers now having the freedom to market their grain as they saw fit, the need to improve the way Information Technology was handled in the Agriculture industry was recognized and market research began for a new idea in grain marketing.
Ag Exchange Group is formed
2013 – September
After diligent market research in the Ag space, Ag Exchange Group was formed and the software development team was created with the help of a PhD computer scientist with a farming background. This new company would be focused on creating market opportunities for Growers while enabling them to execute on those opportunities in an open and transparent environment.
Development of protoype
2014 – January
The development team begins the design of the prototype system.
Launch of Beta version
2015 – June
The beta version of Ag Exchange Group’s grain marketing platform was launched at the Farm Progress Show in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Platform development continues
2016 – June
Through Grower and Buyer consultation and with the addition of senior talent from within the grain industry, the Ag Exchange Group continues to develop and improve the functionality of their platform.
2017 – October
With CXN360 now in market, Ag Exchange Group expanded its team to include a Sales Team to help increase Grower and Buyer members and a Customer Experience Team to help members navigate and use the service to its full potential.
Formal launch of CXN360
2017 – November
After further development and feedback on system functionality, Ag Exchange Group deployed a formal launch of their grain marketing service and branded it as the Commodity Exchange Network 360, CXN360 as it’s known today.
5 Million Member Acres Milestone
2018 – June
In June of 2018, CXN360 reached its first major milestone of 5 million member acres on the platform
Service offering expanded
2019 – March
Membership model was altered to offer 4 new levels of membership, including a FREE limited base level to give Growers the opportunity to experience CXN360 and market their grain without paying a commission or transaction fee on their sales.
Ag Exchange Group acquires FarmLink Grain Brokerage
2020 – February
Ag Exchange Group purchases FarmLink’s grain brokerage division in a strategic partnership. With Farmlink’s comprehensive market advisory services, farmers can have more clarity when making business decisions and are then able to act on these decisions using the CXN360 technology.
10 Million Member Acres Milestone
2020 – April
In April of 2020, CXN360 reached its second major milestone of 10 million member acres.
Reached $1 Billion in grain offers
2020 – September
CXN360 by Ag Exchange Group announces a significant milestone in their grain marketing service. Over 1 billion dollars in opportunities have been created for CXN360 members.
2021 – December
By the end of 2021, CXN360 had reached new milestones: We added another 30% of western Canadian growers on the platform (now at over 17 million acres), targets to buyers from CXN360 farm members increased by over 10%, and bids increased by 80%. In 2021, we also launched a downloadable app for both Mac and android users.
2022 – April
CXN360 membership now includes access to the newly launched Petroleum eXchange Network, PXN360, to connect growers with petroleum suppliers to deliver farm fuels to our members.
